The first time I made a "February" video, I did so with the intention of making one for each month of the year. As you can probably guess, that endeavor began and ended during the month of February. But that's okay. 2017 was a strange and turbulent year and those early months were the beginning of it all. Sometimes, I watch that first video and I can't believe how far away it feels. My life was completely different back then and in the months since, I have experienced so much and grown so far into who I am. I'm finally starting to feel like I have a life here on the west coast and for that, I am incredibly grateful.
I spent this past month living, working, and adventuring whenever I could. I learned that being a human in the world is kind of underwhelming if you let it be. The tiny moments, those seemingly meaningless details that make our world worth paying attention to, they're hidden in plain sight. And once you notice them, you can't stop. It feels like a sort of hyperawareness; as if you can feel the earth moving beneath your feet, hurdling through space at a million miles per hour. And if you aren't paying attention, you'll miss the moments that count. The ones that remind you that you're alive.
This video is a compilation of some my favorite tiny, beautiful moments. There are hundreds more locked away in the confines of my mind; those are the ones I get to keep for myself. But these are the ones I wanted to share with you. Enjoy.
