When traveling anywhere new, I instantly notice the difference in architecture. I can't help but be fascinated by how we humans so easily adapt our dwellings to fit our surroundings. I wasn't necessarily a fan of the architectural style of the southern coastal Atlantic, especially having lived in a 160-year-old farmhouse my entire life. I like older things – New England homes give me a sort of warm fuzzy feeling when I see them. But that doesn't mean I can't appreciate something different for what it is.
